i dont go up to african people in the states asking things like that! but since theres no concept here of privacy, personal space, private property, invasiveness or awkwardness OR of ordering your drink before youre ready to order your food, i'm going to let it go. i think that makes cross cultural moment #1248915.

anyway, i cut my bangs and got my eyebrows done, so i like myself a lot better now that i look like a girl again. once i find a stylist who can cut my hair in this city, ill really feel at home.

gave up baguettes for lent. boys here wear clear jelly sandals. hit a plateau in my french so registered for supplementary classes downtown. figured out the bus system finally so never taking a cab again. i left my phone in one while i was yelling at the driver. senegal is no longer in the african cup - we tied in the last qualifying round to south africa. today is thursday and ive only had two classes this week. yada yada yada. other than that, life is good.
